DAY CURLERS
General Information
The Day Curlers’ Leagues are a daytime, friendly, open, senior league of curlers age 50+.
Our mandate is to provide a balanced program of social, recreational and competitive curling activities covering a wide range in age and physical ability.
Fun, Fellowship, and Exercise are our main objectives.
Tag Curling Leagues (Tuesday and Thursday)
This is recreational curling at its best - arrive and play a Tag Draw format with different members each game.
Tag Draw Curling is at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesdays and 10:00 A.M. on Thursdays.
Submit your name tag at the time/day of arrival indicating your preferred team position. Teams will be created (based on your requested position) for that day by the Draw Master where possible.
Social days (snacks provided) usually occur once/month on Tuesday after curling.
Monday Competitive League (separate league registration)
Sign up INDIVIDUALLY to participate in games starting at 10:00 AM on Mondays commencing October 2024. (NOTE: League is capped at a maximum of 48 players)
An email sign-up for Draw 1 will be sent out in September 2024.
The number of teams / Draw will be based on the # of players signing up – typically four (4) Draws per season.
Teams for each Draw are selected via a Skips draft meeting which will occur approximately 1 week in advance of the Monday start of that Draw.
There is a nominal fee of $2 / per curler for each Draw which goes for prize money and snacks.
Social days (snacks provided) and prize money distributed on the last Monday of each Draw.
Internal Bonspiels
There are 4 Internal Day Curler Bonspiels available on an individual sign-up basis.
Teams are created based on the # of curlers signed up and position is assigned (where possible) based on preferred position:
Day Curlers Opening Spiel -- October 2024
Day Curlers Christmas Spiel -- December 2024
Day Curlers Mid Winter Spiel -- February 2025
Day Curlers Closing Spiel -- April 2025

The league appreciates local sponsors who provide funding and support internal events (bonspiel prizes and social snack days).
