The RHCC’s Junior/Bantam league is a two hour weekly league for youth. The league’s aim is to combine instruction and skill-building with in-game experience, but the most important goal is always to show just how much fun curling really is!
League members: (who can curl)
The Junior/Bantam league is aimed at young men and women from ages 12 to 20. Some players have moved up from RHCC’s Little Rocks league, while others may be trying curling for the first time – players of all skill levels are welcome!
Schedule: (when it is)
The Junior/Bantam League runs on Sunday mornings. The typical schedule is as follows:
11:15-11:30 – Check-in for league members.
11:30-11:45 – Off-ice warm-up and stretches.
11:45-12:00 – Drills and skill-building exercises.
12:00-1:30 – Game time. Team rosters will change each week.
Once all curlers are off the ice, snacks and pop will be provided.
Equipment: (what you need)
All league members must bring a clean pair of running shoes that have not been worn outside. Brooms and sliders are provided by the club.
Volunteering: (how you can help)
Our Junior/Bantam league is supported by the volunteer efforts of club members and parents. On-ice supervisors help keep our activities running smoothly and safely; no curling experience is required. Please contact the league coordinator if you are interested and able to help.
The Junior/Bantam league for 2017-18 starts on Sunday, October 15th. We look forward to seeing you there!
