Day Curling


General Information

The Day Curlers’ League is a day time, friendly, open, senior league that meets at least twice a week to curl and is primarily attended by, but not restricted to, retired men and women age 50 and above who prefer the “Tag Draw” curling format as well as regular special events. 

The Day Curlers’ mandate is to provide a balanced curling program between social, recreational and competitive curling activities as well as satisfying the wide diversity of age and physical ability of its members. Fun, fellowship, and exercise are our main objectives.


Primary Activities

 Tag Curling

Arrive and play a “Tag Draw” format with different members. “Tag Draw” Curling is at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday and, 9:45 A.M. on Thursday beginning on Tuesday, October 3, 2017.

Social days, with snacks provided, usually occur on the 2nd Tuesday of every month.


Additional Activities


Monday Competitive Team Curling

Sign up to participate in this extra activity, there are 4 draws per season.

Skips draft teams from the signed up players.

A five-week schedule is played on Mondays at 10:00 A.M.

The first Monday is October 16, 2017.


Internal Spiels

There are three internal Spiels available on a sign up basis.

Christmas, Robbie Burns and a Closing Spiel at season’s end.


Friendly Club Exchanges

There are two home and away club exchanges per season available on a sign up basis.

They are exchanges with York and Uxbridge Curling Clubs.


Friday’s TDSMCA 

The Toronto and District Senior Men’s Curling Association (TDSMCA) is a competitive interclub league which includes clubs from Donalda, East York, Leaside, Richmond Hill, Scarborough and Tam Heather.  Players from the Richmond Hill Curling Club are invited to participate based on skill level, position and space availability.  They can expect to play a minimum of 3 games per season and may opt to play in the TDSMCA Christmas Spiel and / or Closing Banquet.


Additional Fees

 Nominal fees are collected for Internal Spiels, Club Exchanges, and TDSMCA.

All members will contribute to a social fund.  The Social Fund Fees are used to provide a variety of amenities and donations:

Full Year $20

Half Year $15

Last Quarter $10


Fall Clinics

 One on one instruction is available on a sign up basis.
